Robotics


 

  • Visie:
    • Om leerders te help vorm tot individue met uitnemende karakter, goeie sportgees, uithouvermoë en ‘n positiewe gesindheid wat hard werk om te presteer tot die beste van hul vermoë.

 

  • Doelwitte:
    • Leerders bekend te stel aan robotics en programering en leer om dit te geniet.
    • Leerders te leer om kompeterend deel  te neem op ‘n gesonde manier.
    • Om top gehalte afrigting te bied wat leerders sal help om hul volle potensiaal te bereik.
    • Om geleentheid te bied om aan Die Mpumalanga First Lego League deel te neem.

 

  • Seisoen:
    • Die seisoen strek van Augustus tot November. Leerders wat deurdring na die Nasionale Vlak sal egter bly oefen tot in Desember.

 

  • Spanne en Liga:
    • Die spanne word saamgestel uit 6 – 10 leerlinge in graad 4 – 7. Elke span het ‘n betrokke ouer wat as mentor optree en toesien dat die span die projek voltooi. Die mentor dien ook as skakelpersoon vir die ouers van die betrokke span.

 

  • Toernooie:
    • Die spanne neem elke jaar deel aan die First Lego League se Mpumalanga Kampioenskappe en staan ‘n kans om deur te dring na die Nasionale Kampioenskappe in Desember.

 

  • Kleredrag:
    • Elke span stel hul eie uniform saam.

 

  • Toekenningsplegtigheid:
    • Leerders wat deurdring tot die Nasionale Kompetisie ontvang ‘n sertifikaat by die toekenningsplegtigheid.

 

 


 

Robotics

 


 

  •  Vision:
    • To help learners form to individuals with outstanding character, good sporting spirit, perseverance and a positive attitude to work hard to achieve to the best of their ability.

 

  • Goals:
    • To introduce learners to Robotics and teach them to enjoy it
    • To teach learners to compete and participate in tournaments in a healthy way
    • To offer top quality coaching that help students achieve their full potential
    • To provide opportunity to participate in the First Lego League’s Mpumalanga Championship.

 

  • Season:
    • The season runs from July to November. Learners who go through to national level will practise until December.

 

  • Teams and League:
    • The teams are composed of 6-10 students in Grades 4 – 7. Each team has a parent that acts as mentor and ensures that the team completes the project. The mentor also serves as liaison for the parents of the team.

 

  • Tournaments:
    • Every year the teams participate in the First Lego League's Mpumalanga Championship and stand a chance to advance to the National Championships in December.

 

  • Clothing:
    • Each team puts together their own uniform.

 

  • Awards:
    • Learners that advance to the National Competition will receive a certificate at the awards ceremony.
